Birdies on the Green.: Fun @ the Overton

Wednesday evening, I received a text message from my husband 2 hours before he was expected home from work telling me to pack a bag because we were going to stay the evening at my favorite place in Lubbock. Mind you, it was pouring rain, but hey, I love spontaneous trips planned by my husband! I had everything packed and loaded by the time he made it home and out of the shower.

I had a DREADED dentist appointment on Thursday and worried myself most of Wednesday, so my husband planning the little get away Wednesday evening really helped me to think positively about my appointment the next day. A friend of mine referred me to Harkins & Hancock, so I was also nervous about trying a new dentist. After what seemed like a long drive because of the beautiful, pouring rain, we made it to our destination! We let our little explorer explore himself to sleep. He did have lots of admirers...one being a girl who had a boyfriend named Cameron. She kept chasing Cam. Haha :) I didn't really sleep; I was up and around by 7 Thursday morning. I enjoyed a warm cup of Earl Grey tea while looking out on the beautiful, rainy morning from our suite while my guys slept until 10:30. Oh how I love cool, rainy mornings...no better smell than fresh rain! I really enjoyed our short get-a-way! :) I hope you enjoy pictures from our fun at the Overton...including over a years worth of pictures. :)

P. S. My new dentist, http://smilesofwesttexas.com/CDA/office/hancock.asp, was awesome! I am so happy with what I found out and, after x-rays, I don't have to have a dreaded root canal like I thought. Such a HUGE relief! :)
